FACT OF THE DAY
🤔 90% of CEOs believe that making the right tech investments, at the right time, is a key factor that sets their organization apart, and that digital infrastructure enables new investments to efficiently scale and deliver value.
🍎 AI and tech stocks were mixed to begin the week. NVIDIA was the main under-performer, dropping over 4%. Despite the positive Q3 earnings release, investors seem to be taking earnings, causing the tech giant to sell off. This has benefitted Apple, which is back on top in the race for a $4T market cap. Our Report: Anthropic has released an open-source tool and standard—The Model Context Protocol (MCP)—that allows companies to connect their AI models (any AI model, not just Anthropics’) to multiple, internal and external data sources (ie. business tools, CRM software, content repositories, or developer environments), to improve their responses and ability to complete tasks.
🔑 Key Points:
Currently, to connect AI models to different datasets, developers create custom code, but with MCP they can “connect to data sources anywhere” thanks to a “standard protocol for sharing resources, tools, and prompts.”
Anthropic has launched pre-built protocols to connect with popular data sources, like Google Drive, Slack, and GitHub, and hopes to collaborate with developers to connect with more data sources.
They’ve stated that they’re “committed to building MCP as a collaborative, open-source project and ecosystem” and want to work with developers to “build the future of context-aware AI together.”
🤔 Why you should care: This comes as OpenAI announced, last month, that they had built a data-connecting tool—Work with Apps—which seems to be similar, except Anthropic’s MCP aims to work across all AI systems and data sources, while OpenAI’s just connects to specific coding apps, is still in testing, and is currently just available for Mac ChatGPT users.

Our Report: IMAX—known for its large-scale theatres and immersive viewing experiences—has partnered with Dubai-based AI start-up, Camb AI, to use its models to translate original content and documentaries, across 140 languages, in real-time.
🔑 Key Points:
Camb AI will use their BOLI and MARS models (previously used for language translation in live sports events, like the Australian Open and Major League Soccer) to preserve linguistic nuances and original emotional tone.
Following internal testing, IMAX has confirmed it will start translating its content into the most widely spoken languages first, before expanding into others, including languages with little available data.
This partnership marks one of the biggest practical applications of AI in entertainment and will serve “diverse audiences more effectively”, transforming people’s cinematic experiences, all over the world.
🤔 Why you should care: This strategic partnership comes as studies show that the demand for non-English content—even in English-speaking markets, like the UK, USA, and Australia—has increased by 90% over the last three years, and the entertainment industry is expected to grow by 4% over the next five years.

Zoom has re-branded as an AI-first organization, dropping the ‘Video’ from its name—becoming Zoom Communications—and positioning itself as an “AI-first work platform for human connection."
The pandemic initially bolstered Zoom's popularity, as people turned to it for video meetings, but now, as workforces return to the office and become more of a hybrid mix, Zoom wants to evolve beyond just video calls.
CEO, Eric Yuan, is working on AI tools that summarize meetings, draft emails, and reduce mundane tasks and envisions a future where AI could enable a 4-day week, comparing it to Henry Ford's move from six days to five.
NVIDIA’s new AI music editor, Fugatto can produce never-heard-before sounds—like a saxophone that barks—generating music, sounds, and speech using text and audio it hasn’t been trained on.
It produces sounds based on descriptions and can even transform the sound of someone's voice by giving them a different accent or tone, like angry or sad, it can also isolate vocals in songs and add instruments to music.
To create these never-heard-before sounds, they trained Fugatto on data from a massive amount of sources and gave it instructions that “expanded the range of tasks” it could perform, without needing additional data.
